DOHA: Qatar National Human Right Committee (QNHRC) yesterday concluded a training workshop at Isa Cultural Centre in Bahrain, in collaboration with Bahrain Human Rights Society. QNHRC conducted the workshop from May 16 to 18, as part of its regional role and training programme. Over 115 participants from 35 government and non-government entities attended the workshop held in Manama under the theme ‘Regional and International Mechanisms Enhancing Human Rights’.
In her opening speech, Maryam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah, Secretary-General, NHRC, called for enhancing cooperation between national human rights institutions in the Arab countries and GCC in particular in the areas of training, capacity-building and exchanging experiences.
