As a part of the ‘Schools without Accident’ campaign, a team from the media and traffic awareness section of the Traffic Department visited Doha Modern Indian School on May 16. The team, comprising Lt Khalifa Mubarak Al Kaabi, Community Policing Officer, Abdul Azeez Al Muhhandi, Warrant Officer, Faisal Al Hudawi, Community Outreach Programme Coordinator, and Niyaz Abdul Majeed, Media Researcher, PR department, lectured students from grades nine to 12 on various issues related to traffic rules for pedestrians and motorists. Highlighting the consequences of violating traffic rules, the officials told them about fines, black points and other penalties. The awareness films and presentations threw further light on cameras, traffic light systems and sensor machines. Allowing the students to interact, the officers reminded the future drivers of their responsibility for abiding by traffic rules.
