Egypt's President reaffirms rejection of any violation of Arab states' sovereignty

Cairo: President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed on Sunday his country's firm rejection of any infringement on the sovereignty of Kuwait or any other Arab state, during a meeting with Kuwait's Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, currently visiting Cairo.

According to a statement by the Egyptian Presidency, President El-Sisi stressed Egypt's full support for Kuwait's security and stability and for the measures it takes to protect its national resources, affirming that Kuwait's security, along with that of other Arab states, is an integral part of Egypt's national security.

He also called for continued efforts to strengthen bilateral relations across various fields, particularly investment and trade, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.

For his part, Kuwait's Foreign Minister expressed his appreciation for the steady progress in bilateral relations, praising Egypt's historic positions in support of Kuwait's security, sovereignty, and stability, as well as its consistent backing of Gulf Arab security.

He also expressed Kuwait's aspiration to intensify consultation and coordination with Egypt to help maintain regional peace and stability and safeguard Arab security.
