Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) and Quality International Company have signed a partnership agreement and memorandum of understanding for cooperation to implement activities to serve the community and the humanitarian field.
Ali Atiq Al Abdullah, CEO, Executive Management of Local Development, QC; and Shamsudheen Olakara, Chairman, Quality Group International, signed the deal.
Long-term coordination between both entities will be established to activate the Drahim campaign to donate the shopping payment balance of customers to QC after their approval.
Hadaya Al Kire donation cards will be available at all Quality Retail outlets to enable people to donate by purchasing the cards from the counter.
A special Quality loyalty card (Hadyati Charity) will be launched in association with QC to enable customers to donate reward points on every purchase to QC.
Food basket donations at the cash counters will also be encouraged.
The deal will also instal Tayf boxes for donating new/used clothes and related items; and automated donation machines at all Quality outlets. Public activities will also be held at Quality outlets.
Olakara said: “The Quality Group International is always looking to support the community since Quality Group was established in 2002.
“As Quality Retail Group has six outlets and is preparing to launch two projects in Al Rayyan and Al Khor and is serving over 1.5 million customers a month, we support the community more and more.
“We expect good respond from customers who will use our loyalty programme points to be donated to QC that is making big changes and development in charity work. It will be available at all Quality outlets and QC by the third week of May.”
Al Abdullah expressed pleasure over signing the agreement and said: “QC always ensures to expand its partnerships with public and private institutions to reinforce social responsibility.
“Signing the agreement is part of our policy. We believe in the importance of spreading the culture of charity work in our society and we believe through such agreements we can,” he said.
