Standard Chartered Bank, sponsors of Liverpool Football Club and Park House English School announced a community initiative to build a football school for all children in Qatar.
Students of On the Ball football school, a Park House community initiative sponsored by Standard Chartered, were amazed to have their coaching session taken over today by Liverpool Football Club Foundation Coach Karl Carney and International Activities Manager Forbes Duff.
Afif Ramadan, Acting CEO for Standard Chartered Bank in Qatar, said: “We are delighted to be associated with On the Ball. The aspirations of the programme mirror Standard Chartered’s, in that we believe in investing back in the communities where we do business. Our children are our future and engaging them in after school activities such as On the Ball, will teach them not just football skills, but important life skills like team work and fair play”.
