The Public Works Authority Ashghal trained 25 of its leaders and senior management on enhancing their communication skills. Headed and attended by the President Nasser bin Ali Al Mawlawi, the training titled “Meeting the Press” was held at the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Centre.
The course included methods of dealing with various media channels, on-camera practice, use of body language, and preparation for media interviews. The course also deepened the understanding of media and its tools; it also explained the foundations and rules of dealing with different media platforms, including television and radio. The training defined the foundations of interviews and their different styles, and covered methods of organising conferences and other special events.
The participants praised the course and its outputs. Saif Ali Al Kaabi, Human Resources Manager, said that this training with the Al Jazeera Media Training and Development Center is not the first, and will certainly not be the last.
