Qatar won yesterday an award from Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in the field of science and technology. Vice-President for Research & Graduate Studies Prof Mariam Ali S A Al Maadeed received the award for research related to electric, mechanical, thermal and physical properties of polymers and its applications.
Secretary-General of Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science Dr Hamda Hassan Al Sulaiti said that the award was the first of its kind for Qatar from ISESCO. She congratulated Al Maadeed for the recognition and added that the award will be an incentive to promote the culture of scientific research.
