Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Thursday from HE Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
At the beginning of the call, the Iranian President commended His Highness the Amir's role in establishing security and stability in the region, expressing his gratitude and appreciation for His Highness's efforts to promote de-escalation, which contributes to consolidating regional and international stability.
For his part, His Highness the Amir congratulated the Iranian President on the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the United States of America, expressing his hope that this step would contribute to strengthening peace and stability in the region and the world.
His Highness the Amir also affirmed the State of Qatar's steadfast position in support of dialogue and diplomatic means in addressing regional and international issues, and its support for all efforts aimed at enhancing security and peace at both the regional and international levels.
