Qatar stock index gains 13.67 points

DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 13.67 points, 0.012 percent, when the bourse closed Thursday at 11,897.95 points compared to 11,884.28 points on Wednesday.

The market capitalization increased to QR634.12bn compared with QR632.69bn registered Wednesday.

The trading value today increased to QR 229.40m with a volume of 4,898,458 shares from 2,609 transactions compared with QR187.59m with a volume of 4,339,932 shares from 2,964 transactions on Wednesday.

Indices of three sectors gained and four declined today. Real estate index advanced +0.43 percent to 2,688.97 points and transportation index edged up 0.25 percent to 2,454.37 points.

Insurance index dropped the most today, down -0.05 percent to 4,707.67 points.
QSE Total Return Index gained 0.12 percent (18,490.03 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index dropped 0.18 percent (4,623.85 points) and QSE All Share Index gained 0.12 percent (3,187.31 points).

Investors traded shares of 37 from the 43 QSE-listed companies today. From these shares of 14 gained, 18 declined and five remained unchanged.
