The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that it will conduct intensified inspection visits to ensure food safety during the holy month of Ramadan. The ministry said that it will take all necessary measures to make sure that all imported food meets GCC specifications.
The measures include sending samples of shipments to laboratories before releasing to the market and any shipments containing food unfit for human consumption or failing to meet GCC specifications will be returned or destroyed.
