A seafood promotion began yesterday at Wyndham Grand Regency Hotel’s Moroccan restaurant Tangia. Diners can eat as much seafood as they can for QR99 per person. A variety of Moroccan seafood will be on offer during the promotion, which ends on April 18, 2013.

Eman Abela, the food and beverage director, said: “We have done our best in this restaurant to provide authentic Moroccan ambience. We are keen to have a Moroccan piece featured in Doha, where each piece in the restaurant has been imported directly from Morocco.”

The restaurant opens daily for dinner, except on Sundays, and has live entertainment Monday to Saturday from 7pm to 11pm. It opens for lunch every weekend from 12 noon to 3pm. The restaurant offers four private dining rooms for intimate social and family gatherings.

Commenting on the promotion, Executive Chef Jameel El Nabtiti said: “Tangia’s signature specialities consist of classic Moroccan dishes created from the most well-known Marrakesh cuisine and locally sourced ingredients. Options include Lobster Harira, a traditional Moroccan soup with lobster, chickpeas, lentil, tomato, coriander and argon oil; Tangia, a Marrakesh lamb slowly cooked for six hours and served in a traditional Tangia clay pot; Chocolate Couscous Fondant, served with a red berry coulis and roasted almond ice cream; and, to finish the evening, an extensive selection of Moroccan teas.”The Peninsula
