Doha, Qatar: The 14th edition of the Qatar Halal Festival 2026 concluded yesterday at the southern section of the Katara Cultural Village Foundation, amidst a large audience and distinguished participation from livestock breeders from Qatar and the Gulf countries, in a festive atmosphere that reflected the festival’s status as a leading platform for supporting livestock and preserving purebred livestock.

Director General of Katara Professor Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti, reviewed the closing events and competitions, praising the remarkable organisational and public success of this edition. He affirmed that the festival continues to solidify its role as a heritage, economic, and cultural event that strengthens national identity, supports local production, and attracts breeders, experts, and enthusiasts from across the region.

For his part, Salman Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, the festival director, confirmed that the fourteenth edition witnessed a significant improvement in the level of competitions and the number of participants, in addition to the diversity of accompanying events that combined heritage, awareness, and entertainment. He noted that the large public turnout reflects the growing interest in livestock and authentic Gulf breeds.

The final day witnessed the unloading of the livestock participating in the “Syrian Sheep” category after the conclusion of the beauty contests.
