Pakistan Education Centre debating team took part in a competition organised by Qatar Debates at Al Maha Academy recently. The two teams of PEC comprising of Aimen Yaqoob, Zoha Sattar, Mariam Qureshi, Mahnoor Shahid, Mahnoor Akbar and Sabar Mina did well in the competition, which saw 28 participating teams, 84 debaters, representing different schools across Qatar.
PEC team clinched overall third position among the 28 participating teams. The team PEC also notched three individual positions among the top 10 debaters. Over the course of the day, each team participated in four separate debates.
Aimen Yaqoob grabbed second position, and Zoha Sattar fourth position and Mahnoor Shahid clinched sixth position. Riffat Tahir and Razia Sardar attended the tournament as coaches and adjudicators, from PEC. The success of the team was applauded by the Principal Nargis Raza Otho and faculty members.The Peninsula
