He was appointed Minister of Youth and Sports on June 26, 2013. He had contributed to the launch of Al Rayyan satellite channel. He was the General Manager of the Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani Social Welfare Foundation. In 2008, he was mandated to assume the chairmanship of the National Day celebrations Committee. He was the Head of the Budget Department of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture. He has a BA in Engineering Management Science/University of the Pacific — USA in 1992.
