DOHA: Mannai Air Travel, along with the company’s travel service divisions — Mannai Holidays, Space Travel and VFS — organised a blood donation drive on Saturday.
The blood donation was conducted in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation-Blood Donation Unit.
The division has conducted similar voluntary contributions and the recent blood drive is a continuation of the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives being carried out regularly by the company.
Joining the group of volunteers on site, Farukh Sardar, General Manager, Mannai Air Travel, said: “Mannai Travel Group lays great importance on employees’ participation in our community.
“We not only serve our clients in our office premises but we also extend these services outside our working environments. It is our way of creating awareness on the importance of community service, benefiting not only the recipient but also the donor,” Sardar added.
Some of the benefits of blood donation include a free health checkup that will give an early warning signs for donors. A regular blood donation is also known to burn calories and reduces the risk of heart disease.
