Doha: AJ+ — Al Jazeera Media Network’s digital channel — has launched Your Story, a new initiative for social impact through community-based news gathering at the Global Youth Speak Forum in Warsaw, Poland.
Through the initiative, AJ+ will build a youth-oriented news service on Facebook, the first of its kind, allowing young people from around the world to contribute and develop story ideas in their communities with the help of journalists and commissioning producers.
The stories will then be published on Facebook, and AJ+ will work with members of the community to follow up and do additional reporting on the impact of their work.
AJ+ is a network of digital properties owned by Al Jazeera Media Network, producing and distributing content natively for digital audiences.
It operates in Arabic, English and Spanish (Espa?ol) with over five billion cumulative views online.
