Doha: Prominent Gulf based businessman and Naseem Al Rabeeh Healthcare Group & Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group Chairman Dr. K T Rabeeulla (pictured) has been awarded with lifetime achievement award instituted by Rotary Club Trivandrum considering his philanthropic activities.
The award will be delivered at a function to be held at the House of Parliament, London, on July 20.
Dr. Rabeeullah is renowned for his philanthropic activities. The much-acclaimed pension scheme which he implemented at his village is the finest example. He has adopted his native village of East Kodur in Malappuram district in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Dr. Rabeeullah provided many families auto rickshaws as a means of livelihood. He also supports numerous deprived students by sponsoring their fees and scholarships.
Dr. Rabeeullah has won many accolades during the three-decade long services in the social and charitable fields. In 2013, he was conferred with the prestigious Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award, the highest honour accorded to overseas Indians by the Indian government for their pioneering role in enhancing India’s image globally.
Recently, he extended help to the family of Jisha, a law student who was brutally murdered in Perumbavoor, Kerala. Also, Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Group has disbursed `50,000 (QR 2750) each to the families of those killed in the fireworks accident at the Puttingal Temple at Paravur, Kerala.
