Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Municipality has called on date palm farmers across the country to maintain high standards of cleanliness during the date harvest season to preserve crop quality and ensure optimal production.
In an agricultural advisory issued as the date harvesting season begins, the ministry stressed the importance of cleaning harvest boxes and harvesting tools regularly to protect the quality of fresh dates and reduce the risk of contamination. The ministry also urged farmers to closely monitor their palm trees for signs of spider mite infestations and to undertake appropriate treatment measures.
