Qatar Charity aid being distributed in Mosul.
In cooperation with Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), Qatar Charity has implemented a relief project for the displaced in Mosul to reduce their financial burden and provide them with basic needs.
QC aims to stand by the Iraqis, alleviate their suffering and provide them with the necessary supplies under the difficult conditions they are in.
Mohammed Alkaabi, QC's Director of Relief Department, said, “We provided this aid due to the difficult conditions in Mosul and the displacement of a large number of families to the neighbouring governorates. They live in random camps that are not well equipped and suffer from a severe shortage of basic needs like water, food, medicine and blankets, which required rapid and immediate assistance”.
Alkaabi added that the aid included food and non-food items costing QR1m, benefiting more than 21,000 people. The aid was distributed in the camps of Nergzliya, Qaimawa, Khazar, Hassan Sham, Laylan, Arbat and Erbil.
Alkaabi thanked the people of Qatar for their support to QC campaigns to provide relief to their Iraqi brothers, calling upon them to continue their help and support.
QC had launched “Save the People of Mosul” Campaign to provide humanitarian relief for the displaced people of Mosul and established a fully equipped camp. Benefactors have many ways to help and support the displaced in Mosul by donating through the following: By sending “HI” SMS (Vodafone and Ooredoo); donating QR500 at number 92428, QR100 at number 92642, and QR50 at number 92632.
