Tunisian President Essebsi arrives today

Doha: President of the Tunisian Republic Beji Caid Essebsi will arrive in Doha today on a three-day official visit to Qatar.
Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Tunisian President will hold talks on enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields in addition to a number of issues of mutual concern.
President Essebsi stressed the depth of bilateral relations between his country and Qatar, describing them as ‘historic,’ ‘close’ and ‘renewed’.
Talking to QNA in Tunis ahead of his official visit to Doha, Essebsi said Tunisia attaches great importance to develop cooperation with Qatar while Doha is interested in further promoting bilateral cooperation, stressing joint Commitment to pushing forward bilateral ties.
“Cooperation between brotherly countries like Qatar and Tunisia is eligible for further development, thus the visit to Doha will increase and expand this cooperation and cement bilateral ties,” said Essebsi.
He added that Tunisia looks forwards to a visit by the Emir to culminate these relations and contribute to the advancement of Tunisian-Qatari areas of cooperation to a greater level.
