Doha: Al Markhiya Gallery is organizing next Tuesday a joint art exhibition brings together the work of Qatari artists Masoud Al Bloushi, Mubarak Al Malik and Lulwa at Katara Art Center.
The participating artists will showcase a large collection of artworks that address the ideas of identity, homeland, women, traditions and modern arts. Each artist will exhibit seven works vary between the various contemporary art schools.
Commenting on the event, the Gallery said that organizing such exhibitions aims at prompting local experiences and highlight the aesthetics of arts and creativity by Qatari artists of various attitudes and schools.
Al Markhiya Gallery was established at the initiative of HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani with a mission to promote and represent a distinctive group of emerging and established Arab artists in Qatar, the region and throughout the world. It seeks partnerships with major galleries throughout the world. This network will facilitate exchanges of exhibitions and increase exposure for local and regional talent.
