The Next Generation Kindergarten & Primary students took part in the annual Quran competition — ‘Wahdah Tahfeezuh Quran’. The children were tested on various Surahs from the Holy Quran. TNG Quran Competition Coordinator Samina Jahangir and TNG Quran teacher Lubna Shahid prepared the children for the competition.
Twelve boys and ten girls from TNG took part in the competition, which was held last month.
Hasaan Waheed, Abdur Rahim Tahir and Hams Yasser from Year VI, Amr Yasser from Year IV, Abdullah Taj from Year II, and Nadia Laraib from Year I scored Excellent in the competition. Mohd Umair Afzaal Khan of Year IV, Abdul Aziz of Year III and Muhammad Muttahar Maqsood of Year III scored Good.
“TNG strongly believes that Islam is the complete way of life. Teaching Islam is ideal and shall be taught at all levels,” said Shagufta Bakali, CEO, TNG. A curriculum designed by Jamiatul Ulama Ta’limi Borad, South Africa, has been used for the students of Year 1 to Year 6.
The Peninsula
