PISQ girls' teams shine in school debate league

Doha: Pakistan International School-Qatar’s (PISQ) girls’ teams proved their excellence again with resounding success in the Preparatory School Debate League for Girls held on February 20, 2020 online via Discord. Total 36 debating teams from 18 schools participated in the tournament. According to total team wins of each participating school in 1st and 2nd QPSDL, PISQ girls teams have grabbed 2nd best League Position. 

PISQ has also won its way to QPSDL Nationals 2021. The three teams of PISQ comprising of Team 1: Elsa Haider, Khadeeja Tahira, Mariyam Umer, Team 2:Khadeeja Khalid, Momina Muazzam, Salwa Nooram Team 3: Syeda Hareem, Mehmooda Shah and Isbah Fatima represented PISQ in the said tournament.

The tournament had three rounds on various motions. The debaters spoke with great confidence and put forth brilliant arguments defending their stands. 

The scintillating performance of the PISQ debaters drew much applause and praise throughout the League. Naheed Nadeem formed and coached the teams. She along with Riffat Tahir represented the school as adjudicators as well. 

The school coach & coordinators expressed satisfaction that PISQ girls teams of debaters could contend with the best in Doha or anywhere else.
