Noted Islamic scholar and senior lecturer at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Sheikh Ahmad Kutty (pictured), will deliver a lecture today on “Islam: Possibilities and challenges in western communities”. The public speech, organised by the Malappuram District Muslim Welfare Association (Mamwaq), a socio-cultural organisation in the southern Indian state of Kerala, will be held at the Indian Islamic Association (IIA) auditorium, Mansoura, at 8pm.
Ahmad Kutty has been serving as the Director of the Islamic Center of Toronto for the past 30-years and was member of Fiqh Council of North America. He actively participates in interfaith seminars, symposia and serves as an expert/resource in cases involving Islamic Law and Theology.
