Munich: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway Anniken Huitfeldt, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries, and discussed ways of continuing cooperation between the two sides to enhance stability in Somalia, Palestine, and Afghanistan.
HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the meeting, expressed Qatar's thanks to Norway for its efforts to resolve regional issues by peaceful means.
For her part, the Norwegian foreign minister congratulated Qatar on its success in organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The FM expressed her thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar for its efforts and its pivotal role in facilitating evacuations from Afghanistan.
