DOHA: The Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA)has organised a training programme on ‘Dispute Resolution Procedures’.
The training was for the implementation of the work plan regarding the bilateral exchange programme to strengthen the cooperation and coordination between QFMA and the Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA).
Representatives from the Union member countries of Arab and GCC securities authorities and a number of employees of financial services companies operating in the Qatar Exchange participated in the training programme.
The programme contained four main themes. The first theme defined the alternative means to resolve disputes and the second one shed lights on the arbitration law in Qatar and the legal system of arbitration in QFMA.
The third theme discussed topics related to the organization of the arbitration proceedings and the fourth theme focused on the Penal Magistrates according to the QFMA law and the regulations.
