Al Mana Restaurants & Food Co, the owner and operator of McDonald’s restaurants in Qatar, celebrated yesterday the 18th birthday of the first McDonald’s restaurant in Doha. The restaurant in Al Sadd Area, also known as McDonald’s Al Suhaim Bin Hamad Street, opened its doors on December 13, 1995 to become an integral part of Doha’s everyday life. It remains one of the most popular McDonald’s restaurants in Doha.
Sharing the occasion with its community, McDonald’s organised a special celebration at Al Sadd restaurant and invited its neighbours and consumers to take part in a fun-filled afternoon. The programme involved activities, games and competitions where kids and parents shared the enjoyment and spent quality family time together.
Their favourite McDonald’s characters were there to contribute to the excitement and share gifts, making the festive occasion more memorable.
Kamal Saleh Al Mana, Managing Director of Al Mana Restaurants & Food Co, said: “We are proud to celebrate this important occasion for McDonald’s Qatar together with the community we have been an integral part of for the past 18 years. McDonald’s Qatar, as a fully locally owned and operated company, is committed to sharing the fruits of its work with society it is part of and that contributes so much to its success.
“That is why every such opportunity to rejoice with our consumers fills our hearts with great pleasure and inspires us to continue with our best efforts in serving them.”
McDonald’s Qatar operates 28 restaurants throughout Qatar, and employs over 700 people to serve its guests. McDonald’s Qatar is committed to the quality of the products it serves at each restaurant and maintains an active social responsibility agenda.
