Hong Kong stocks open lower after Paris horror

Hong Kong: Shares in Hong Kong tumbled in early trade Monday as nervousness set in following the weekend terror attacks in Paris, while Shanghai was also hit after authorities cut the amount of borrowed cash dealers can use to trade.

In Hong Kong the benchmark Hang Seng Index fell 1.96 percent, or 437.86 points, to 21,958.28.

In Shanghai the benchmark composite index lost 1.63 percent, or 58.38 points, to 3,522.46, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, dropped 2.02 percent, or 44.46 points, to 2,161.11.
