Hong Kong: Hong Kong stocks followed most Asian markets higher Monday, closing at a fresh ten-year high, but Shanghai slipped as mainland markets consolidated following recent gains.
The Hang Seng Index rose 0.76 percent, or 216.37 points, to end at 28,692.8.
However the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.36 percent, or 12.05 points, to 3,378.47. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, lost 1.52 percent, or 30.86 points, to end at 2,005.95.
