Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 54.47 points, or 0.47 percent Wednesday when it closed at 11,558.13 points.
The market capitalization increased to QR609.63bn from QR605.63bn registered Tuesday.
The daily turnover increased to QR204.48m with a volume of 5,409,461 shares from 3,589 transactions compared with QR199.31m with a volume of 5,209,807 shares from 3,286 transactions on Tuesday.
Indices of all sectors ended in the green. Banks and Financial Services gained the most, up 1.08 percent to 3,141.95 points.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE shares of 41 exchanged hands today. From these, 27 gained, nine dropped and five remained unchanged.
