Qatar tennis team set for Games challenge in South Korea

Moussa Shanan, a member of the Qatar tennis team which is taking part in the Asian Games, trains in Doha yesterday. Qatar tennis team will fly to South Korea tomorrow. The Games opening ceremony takes place on Friday while the tennis event will be held from September 19 to 30. The Qatari players took part in a ten-day training camp held at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex under the supervision of the former player Younes Al Aenoui, the winner of Qatar ExxonMobil 2002.

Doha: The Qatar tennis team will fly today to South Korea to take part in the Asian games 2014 the biggest sporting event held in Asia from September 19 to 30.
The South Korea-bound squad have been training for the last ten days at a camp held at Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex under the supervision of the former player Younes Al Aenoui, the winner of Qatar ExxonMobil 2002.
During the camp, the players went through high intensive training in preparing for the Asian event.
Khalid Al Khelaifi; Head of National Teams Committee at Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF), stressed on the role played by QTF to create the best opportunities to enhance the players’ skills and potentials and lead them to a level that suits Qatar’s standing in the global sport arena.
Khalid Also expressed his hope that our delegation to Korea can achieve good results as this event is considered as a big kick off for the new season and it comes after a long period of summer training camps in different countries across the globe.
The delegation to Korea includes Jabor Al Mutawa’a,  Moussa Shanan, Mubarak Shanan and Ali Abdel Reda, all led by coach Anas Lamrani and the administrative affairs will be handled by Abdel Hamid Zeinal, says a QTF release.
