DOHA: Qatar International Petroleum Marketing Company (Tasweeq) honoured its global customers by hosting a reception in Singapore and thanked them for their persistent trust in Tasweeq’s business.
Speaking on behalf of Tasweeq CEO, Saad Al Kuwari, Executive Director – Administration, Abdulla Al Abdulmalek, said: “This year, Tasweeq celebrates five years of successful operations. Tasweeq witnessed an unprecedented growth in its exports of energy products.
Al Abdulmalek added: “We want to thank the leaders of the state of Qatar, H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir, H H Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Emir and H E Dr Mohammad bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Energy & Industry and Tasweeq Chairman for their continuous support to Tasweeq and thus contributing to realise Tasweeq’s vision and mission in becoming the world’s pre-eminent petroleum marketing company. We also thank you for your trust and belief in Tasweeq, and promise to continue this journey by staying true to our vision of Delivering Qatar’s Energy to the Globe – Reliably, Efficiently and Responsibly.”
The reception was attended by top executives of major Oil & Gas companies, traders, shipping entities and government bodies that are business associates of Tasweeq. Tasweeq team included senior managers of QP Marketing, Marketing & Shipping, Planning and Public Relations directorates, as well as the team from the Tasweeq’s Singapore Representative Office.
Tasweeq inaugurated the Singapore Representative Office (SRO) in 2010 to seek close proximity to its expanding portfolio of Asian customers who have supply and trading offices in Singapore.
The SRO aims to provide marketing support to the headquarters in Qatar; gather market intelligence; seek out regional business development opportunities; and assist the Headquarters in Customer Service and liaison activities. Tasweeq’s SRO is located in One Raffles Place, the heart of Singapore’s financial and business district.
