Vienna: Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty stressed today the importance of avoiding any steps that could escalate tensions or widen the circle of conflict in the Middle East region.

During his meeting with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency Rafael Grossi in Vienna, Abdelatty discussed the latest escalations in the region. He highlighted Egypt's efforts and contacts aimed at de-escalating tensions and containing the crisis, emphasizing the necessity of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions as the only way to address the crises.

He also underscored the importance of avoiding any steps that could escalate tensions, given the potentially serious repercussions for the region's security and stability, as well as the negative impact on international trade, global supply chains, and energy markets.

For his part, Grossi affirmed the importance of supporting diplomatic solutions to address the crises in the region.
