London: Algeria international Riyad Mahrez signed a new two-year contract extension with Manchester City that would keep him until 2025, the club announced on 15 July.
"I'm very happy to sign the new deal," Mahrez told the club's website. He thanked manager Pep Guardiola and the coaching staff, saying they helped develop him as a player.
Director of Football Txiki Begiristain added that Mahrez "has brought so much to the Club with his skill, talent, commitment, and desire to win evident from the moment he first arrived. I also know that Pep and the coaching staff relish working with Riyad."
The Algerian superstar scored 63 goals and assisted 45 others in 189 matches he played with Manchester City.
