Qatari Emiri Air Force represented by the Air Transport pavilion have participated in the British Royal Air Fair at Fairford Air Force Base, the largest of its kind in the world, said the Directorate of Moral Guidance at the Ministry of Defence.
The Directorate of Moral Guidance said that the Qatari participation in the show, which ends today, was showcasing of the C130J-30 aircraft of the 12th Emiri Air Force Squadron.
During the Fair , the iconic Tamim Al Majd’s wall painting was launched and visitors interacted with it by writing expressions of sympathy and solidarity with Qatar in the current Gulf crisis.
The pilots and technical crews of the Qatar pavilion reviewed the services and functions of the Qatari Emiri Force air transport aircraft, especially the C-130G-30, in delivering humanitarian aid of medicine and food to the affected areas.
Lt. Colonel Nawaf bin Mubarak bin Saif Al Thani, Director of the Directorate of Moral Guidance, visited the Qatari pavilion at the British Air Show and said: “The participation of the Qatari Emiri Air Force in this global Expo is proof of the sensitive role played by the Air Force led by H E Major General (Pilot) Mubarak bin Mohamed Al Kumait Al Khayarin, Commander of the Qatar Emiri Air Force and, a review of the capabilities and effective contributions of our Qatari Emiri Force to humanitarian operations around the world.”
The C-130C-30 is a tactical cargo aircraft based on parachute airdrops and humanitarian assistance in the affected and inaccessible areas. They are used to deliver airborne forces to areas of operations and can land on unpaved or under construction corridors.
