Doha: Dr. Saud Abdullah Al Attiyah, Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance, participated in the meeting of the Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level in preparation for the Summit at its 32nd ordinary session held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, the report of the Secretary-General on joint Arab economic and social development work was reviewed. The agenda of this session also included several important items, including the activation of Arab transport agreements, an item on progress in completing the requirements of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area and the establishment of the Arab Customs Union, and another on Qatar’s hosting of the Web Summit during 2024.
It is worth mentioning that the preparatory meetings for this session were held at the level of senior officials and Qatar participated in it with a delegation from the Ministry of Finance.
