Dr. G S Grewal, FCA, Ph.D, CAL(IIAM) conducted a seminar to highlight and explain introduction to accounting, basic accounting terms, journal (introduction), accounting rules for debit and credit, accounting principles and conventions for the XI grade commerce aspirants at Birla Public School (BPS) on April 13.
He also opened new paths of work for them through career guidance. On April 14, he explained fundamentals of partnership, change in profit-sharing ratios among the existing partners, admission, retirement and death of a partner, GST and the accounting treatment and presentation on accounting equation for the XII commerce students.
Apart from this, a question and answer session was conducted on the discussed topics and the students, who were able to answer his questions were encouraged with small token of gifts. MCQ questions were discussed after each topic.
A separate interactive session with the commerce teachers was also conducted for an hour. The teachers of economics also attended the GST session as GST is included in their subject from this year.
