Doha: The Gulf Health Council praised the medical efforts and achievements made by the Ministry of Public Health in the State of Qatar in the field of organ transplantation.
In a statement issued yesterday, the council explained that the field of organ transplantation in Qatar has become more comprehensive, as the organ transplant program has been developed to include operations: lung transplantation, kidney transplantation, and liver transplantation. It pointed out that one of the most important achievements of the Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health is its efforts to increase the number of organ donors to about 450,000.
The Gulf Health Council drew attention to the efforts made by the Hamad Medical Corporation team in organ transplantation, praising the high level of health care for patients in Qatar.
