Various organisations hold NSD activities

Qatar Steel organised fun filled sports activities at the MIC Sports Complex in Mesaeed, as part of the National Sport Day. Employees and their families were invited to participate in different sports activities on Tuesday.
The programme consisted of a number of sports competitions and tournaments; football, basketball, handball, volleyball, cricket, tennis, short-distance running races. In addition to that, some other fun competitions were held, such as tug of war, recreational games for children like rope skipping and etc.

Alfardan Group
Over 1,500 employees of Alfardan Group joined to mark the National Sport day at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena. Alfardan Sports Day highlighted the virtues of physical activity as well as camaraderie, cooperation, and team spirit for continued personal and professional growth. Prior to the final games at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena, teams and individuals competed in the preliminary rounds of volleyball and basketball at the Arab International Academy, while tennis and table tennis were held at Alfardan Gardens. Employees also competed in other sports such as football, badminton and cricket. A number of recreational activities were organised and made available to people of all ages, to ensure that everyone will have a fun and memorable experience.

Municipalities
The Doha Municipality held an awareness lecture for children about food safety at the Aspire Academy as part of its National Sport Day celebrations. The lecture aimed to raise awareness among children on food safety, correct shopping and health impact. The municipality also distributed colouring books for the students. Al Khor and Al Dakhira Municipality organised a number of sport activities in Al Jaltah park. The activities included golf, volleyball, basket ball and many other entertainment games for girls.

Al Emadi Hospital
As an annual initiative to commemorate Qatar’s National Sports Day, Al Emadi Hospital held a company-wide Sports Day event at BMI Fitness on Tuesday. Over 300 enthusiastic employees from various departments of the hospital took part in the event. The enthusiasm and participation demonstrated the hospital’s unwavering support of the country’s efforts to strategically position itself as a global sporting hub.
“This year, National Sport Day is very special for us as it was held at one of the newest projects that will be launched soon, a complete health centre that has Al Emadi Physiotherapy Centre, Regime Diet Centre and BMI Fitness, the Gym where the activities took place, a top-of-the-line modern high-end gym equipped with the latest machines and equipment, The new and path breaking gym will open its doors in the very near future,” said Abdulrahman Al Emadi, CEO, Al Emadi Hospital.
BMI FITNESS GYM, with its high-end top-of-the-line equipment and facilities offered employees a platform to display their many talents and abilities.
