Inspectors checking meat at a butchery.
The Health Monitoring Section at Al Khor and Al Dakhira Municipality has conducted inspections of a number of supermarkets, butcheries and restaurants to see if they comply with health conditions.
Inspectors also checked fresh local meat and imported ones to see if they are fit for human consumption. They also checked if they comply with the announced price list.
The inspection visits were conducted in collaboration with Consumer Protection Department of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
The Doha Municipality also organised a lecture for children at Aspire Academy to raise awareness about food safety. The lectures advised children on the correct way of shopping.
Meanwhile, the Beaches and Islands Section of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment cleaned the Sealine beach in collaboration with Amwaj company. Varying amount of waste has been removed during the cleanup campaign.
