Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Dr Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah inaugurated a military medical centre, which will be dedicated to serving members of the armed forces and their families.
The centre will include a wide variety of medical services, including one for critical cases. It will also have a laboratory, X-ray, and a pharmacy.
Director of the centre Hamad Saadon Al Athba said that the development of the centre was based on the directives of the Minister of State for Defence Affairs.
Al Athba noted that they placed a comprehensive plan for operating the centre. He stressed that the inauguration of the centre is the armed forces' contribution to having modern medicine services in the country that relies on the highest capabilities and personnel. The director said that the vision for the centre is for it to become a leader in medical services as well as research. The centre will have a number of clinic, including a general one, diabetes, nutrition, digestive system, Rheumatology among many other clinics.
