Doha: Hosts Qatar will face a strong Oman team in the opening match of the West Asia Hockey Cup at the Rayyan field hockey stadium here today.
The match starts at 4.15pm, the organisers, Qatar Hockey Federation (QHF), said.
Qatar will play Iran tomorrow at the same venue. After a day of rest on Tuesday, Oman will play Iran on Wednesday.
The QHF today opened the International Hockey Federation (FIH)-level course for coaches here, QHF Secretary General Mohammed Nazer told Qatar News Agency (QNA). Twenty delegates, from Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Iran, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Ghana and Qatar are taking part in the course, which will boost their skills to supervise matches, he said.
