MES bids adieu to class XII students

MES Indian School bid farewell to 2014 batch of class XII students at a ceremony held at the school recently. Over 550 students and 250 teachers graced the occasion. 
The mixed feelings of joy and sorrow were expressed in the speeches of the students’ representatives, Suhail Subair, Santwana Saira John and Adil A Haris. 
“Be righteous in your action, dignified in your ways and your word and deed shall bring happiness and hope to others. Believe in yourself and you can do the best in the world,” exhorted, V V Mahamood, President and Chief Guest of the day in his keynote address.  
“Now it’s time to encounter the challenges more demanding and more realistic than what you have been going through. Be armed with honesty and steadfastness and you shall reach at the lofty pedestal of the dignity of real winners,” remarked, Principal, Sasidharan A P, while felicitating the outgoing students.
Nagalakshmi S, teacher, Department of English, represented the teaching faculty and addressed the students.
J M Sooryanarayanan (Science) and Aftab Mohammed Idris (Commerce) were honoured as the best out going students in the boys’ section while G Sai Spandana (Science) and Shahnon D’Souza (Commerce) won the best out going student title in the girls’ section of the school. Rahul James (Science) and Fouzia Solanki (Science) were honoured as the best out going students from CBSE-i. 
J M Sooryanarayanan, Athira Rajeev and Chandana Srivalsan were declared as the talent of the year from the Boys’, Girls’ and CBSE-i sections of the school. Mohammed Abdul Kareem P (Boys’), Sarah Mariam Varghese (Girls’) and Adil A Haris (CBSE-i) were honoured as the best outgoing prefects. Nithin Mahesh (Boys’), Souda Ismail (Girls’) and Carl Eric (CBSE-i) were honoured as the best outgoing CCF.
About 550 students who have completed their class XII at the school were honoured with mementoes. 
A medley of songs enthralled the audience and added colours to the gala evening.
