A view of the programme organised by DPS Modern Indian School to mark World Hindi Diwas.
DPS Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS), Qatar has organised a programme to mark World Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm. Students were oriented about the importance of Hindi language and how celebrating the day helps in sustaining traditional values and glorifying them to reinforce the languages’ importance.
Celebration started with the Qatar National Anthem followed by the Indian National Anthem. Students of primary classes sang a prayer song. The Principal inaugurated the function.
A variety of programmes stressed the significance of Hindi language. A speech was presented on the importance of Hindi language followed by a ‘Kavita vachan’.
Teachers of Junior sections presented the Kavi Sammelan (poetry reciting session) to enhance the usages of muhavare (proverbs) in Hindi literature. It was unique as it grabbed the attention of the audience. Kawali was the mind blowing performance by the teachers of senior school. The grand finale of the celebration was a well-choreographed dance performance.
The Principal while speaking on the occasion gave an insight and importance of Hindi language.
She also insisted that the language comes next to the country on the identification of any person.
