The second stage of League matches of Cricket Tournament 2018 organised by OIA (One India Association), affiliated to ICC under the aegis of Indian Embassy (Qatar) were played at Al Jaber Ground, Mesaieed on Friday, January 12. Eight different teams participated.
The first match was played between QKR Bengal and Orbital Red. In the close fought match Orbital’s managed to chase the score with 3 balls to spare, thus winning the match by 4 wickets.
The man of the match was awarded to Sayed for his magnificent batting.
In the 2nd match between IABJ Biharand Mitra Mandal of Maharastra,the toss was won by Bihar and they elected to field first.
In the allots 12 overs MM scored 96 runs at the loss of 4 wickets and in response IABJ team managed to score 54 runs, thus losing the match by 42 runs.
In the 3rd match of the day Orbital Strikers Blue defeated OIA UP by 37 runs. Pradeep was adjudged as Man-of-the-Match for his brilliant batting performance by Sulaiman, Media Secretary of OIA.
In the last match of the day between OIA Kerala and OIA Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu won the match by 81 runs, thanks to Ameer Sultan for an extraordinary innings of 92 runs in 41 balls with 7 towering sixes.
He was adjudged as man of the match for his impressive performance by Rajesh Aggarwal, Ex. Zonal player of North Zone Delhi.
