The Meteorology Department has forecast a foggy morning today with poor visibility in some places. The Met office has also forecast strong winds and high seas in the north. Hazy to misty/foggy weather is expected today "at first becoming mild daytime with slight dust at places at times, cold by night," said a weather report yesterday.
The northwesterly winds is expected to blow at speeds ranging from 5 knots to 15 knots reaching 18 knots at places.
The wind speed offshore is expected to be 10 to 20 knots reaching 25 knots to the north. Visibility would drop to 2 km or less in some places.
The presence of northwesterly winds could cause a slight fall in temperatures. The temperature in Doha today is expected to be between 16 to 23 degrees Celsius. In Al Khor temperature could fall as low as 12 degrees while Wakra could see temperatures varying from 13 degrees to 22 degrees. Mesaieed would also have similar temperature levels.
