The Ministry of Municipality and Environment will launch today a marketing campaign for Qatari vegetables in cooperation with Al Meera Hypermarket and Supermarket.
The campaign is part of the efforts of the Agricultural Affairs Department at Ministry of Municipality to improve the quality of local products and increasing demand for it in order to encourage farmers to use technology and increase their production.
The other reason behind the campaign is the high quality that Qatari vegetables now have.
There are a number of farms in Qatar now that rely on new technological methods to produce these vegetables.
The Consumer Protection Department helped the ministry in placing a number of conditions for marketing Qatari vegetables in hypermarkets. One of those conditions is that those products carry a logo specifically made for distinguished Qatari products.
