DOHA: Galfar Cricket Club, the cricket team of Galfar Construction Company, emerged on top in the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) Division C.
In final of Division C, Galfar defeated PAK Stars Cricket Club to pick up the top prize by registering a five-wicket win.
This is the third year Galfar have been competing in Division C of the QCA tournament
The much-fancied Galfar team was captained by Sumil Ranasinghe.
The final match of the tournament was played in the 40-overs per side format at the QCA ground at West Bay.
Winning the toss, Galfar elected to field first, which proved a wise decision as PAK Stars were bowled out for 181 in 36 overs.
In reply, Galfar reached the target in 30 overs losing five wickets.
Saman Fonseka was named Man of the Match for his contribution of 32 runs and 3 wickets.
