Environmental Monitoring Unit of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment yesterday held a workshop about the programmes of monitoring quality of water and protecting it from pollution.
Thirty experts from different departments of the ministry attended the workshop.
Omar Salem Al Nuaimi, Director of Environmental Protection, Nature Reserves and Wildlife Department at the Ministry said that the aim of the workshop is to recognise the departments concerns about the monitoring and control programmes in order to maintain and protect surface and ground water from pollution.
