Qatari-Turkish Parliamentary Group chairman hails relations

Doha: Chairman of the Qatari-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Group at the Turkish Parliament, Vahit Kiler hailed the depth of relations between the two countries, and stressed the keenness of the two leaderships to develop the existing strong relations in various fields, for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

Kiler underlined the important role the group plays in consolidating relations between the two countries and among members of parliaments, pointing out that the distinguished relations between Turkiye and Qatar have reached the highest levels.

Talking to Qatar News Agency, he stressed that the relationship between H H the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Turkish President H E Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was embodied by the two countries supporting each other in the most difficult and severe circumstances.

He pointed out that the Turkish-Qatari Joint Economic Committee has made important achievements and completed nearly 70 agreements between the two countries, considering that the momentum of economic relations between both has not yet reached the desired level, especially with the presence of many areas and great opportunities for investment in Turkiye.

He expressed his aspiration for the joint meetings to come out with decisions that concern both sides, achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples in various fields and help to overcome all obstacles that hinder the course of relations between the two countries. Kiler also hopes for further advancement of the relations between the two countries to reach a higher level and further strength of their bonds of love and brotherhood.

Kiler underlined Turkish Parliament’s desire to hold more joint meetings with the Shura Council.
